How to get from Krabi to Koh Phangan
There are two parts in the trip from Krabi to Koh Phangan Island in Thailand. First you need to cross the main land from Krabi to either Don Sak or Surat Thani, and from there take a ferry to Koh Phangan Island. Remember that it can get very busy on the ferries during the week around the Fullmoon party.
Traveling from Krabi to koh Phangan by Bus and Ferry
Duration: Approximately 6 hours
Price: around 550 baht
You can arrange transport from Krabi to Koh Phangan at any travel agency in Krabi or Ao Nang. Expect to pay around 550 baht. The trip has two parts. First you go by bus or minivan from Krabi to the Don Sak pier from where the boat to Koh Phangan leaves. This trip takes about 2 hours.
From Don Sak you will then take the boat to Koh Phangan. This will be another 2 hours by boat to Koh Phangan Island. The boat makes a stop on Koh Samui. Expect to wait for the ferry at Don Sak, for that the trip should take about 6 hours.

It is also possible to take the Night boat from Surat Thani. You can take a public government bus from the Krabi Bus Terminal to Surat Thani and head to the Ferry port from there.

Duration: 6-8 hours
Price: 400 baht
Departure time: 23:00
The Night Ferry to Koh Phangan will cost 400 baht. The ferry leaves at 23:00 and it takes about 6 to 8 hours depending how rough the sea is. You get a bed asigned on the boat, don't expect to have a lot of space.
