La Paz
La Paz is the biggest city in Bolivia. It is situated on a height of 3650 meters, making it the highest unofficial capital in the world. The official capital of Bolivia is Sucre, but La Paz has more government departments and for that by many regarded the administrative capital.

La Paz was built in a canyon created by the Choqueyapu River. The city's main thoroughfare, which roughly follows the river, changes names over its length, but the central tree-lined section running through the downtown core is called the Prado.
La Paz has big differences in height inside the city. The lower you get and the closer to the river the milder and more pleasant the weather gets. Here you can also see the division between the rich and poor in the city. The neighborhoods near the river thus low in altitude are the richest.
