Hanoi in Vietnam isn't exactly famous for its nightlife but there are places to go if you know where they are. The fact that the bars in the city need to close at midnight every day doesn't help but if you head out early enough there are still good times to be had.

(The Old Quarter in Hanoi is still busy at night time)

Around Ta Hien street in the Old Quarter you can find some nice bars such as Tom's Bar. A good place to enjoy music is Minh's Jazz Club in the French Quarter. For Latin music you can go to La Bomba Latina in the Hoan Kiem District.
