Phuket Beaches
Most Beaches on Phuket can be found on the western coast. During high season from November to April the seas are calm and the weather dryer then the rest of the year. During low season from May to October the seas are a bit rougher and there is more rainfall.
Patong is without a doubt the busiest beach on Phuket with many hotels and restaurants. Other popular beaches are Karon, Kata and Kamala. On the southern part of Phuket you can find some nice beaches with less development such as Nai Han Beach and Rawai Beach.
Bang Tao Beach
Bang Tao Beach is a long beach just North of Surin. It is less developed then its neighbors to the South. There are a few resorts for people who like to relax.

Chalong Bay
Chalong Bay is a long sandy beach on the south eastern part of Phuket Island. This beach is not as nice as the ones on the west coast.
Kamala Beach
Kamala Beach is a nice quiet beach North of Patong. During high season it gets busy. The biggest attraction in Kamala is the Fantasea show.
Karon Beach
Karon Beach is the second largest beach in Phuket, but a lot less busy. That is why this beach is more popular with sun worshippers then party people.
Kata Beach
Kata Beach is situated just South of Karon Beach. Kata beach has beautiful white sand and has a nice mix of relaxing and activities.

Mai Khao Beach
Mai Khao Beach is the longest beach, located on the north western part of the Phuket. Here you can find of the best 5 start hotels on the Island.
Nai Han Beach
Nai Han Beach is located at the South Western tip of the Island. It is widely considered one of the most beautiful beaches on Phuket.
Nai Thon Beach
Nai Thon Beach is a quiet family orientated beach on the north western coast of Phuket just south of the Phuket International Airport.
Paradise Beach
Just South of Patong you will find a little secluded beach called Paradise Beach. It is a small bay with crystal clear water. It is a private beach where you have to pay an entrance fee of 100 baht.

Patong Beach
Patong on the west side of Phuket is the biggest beach destination in Phuket. Patong has a long beach and has a lot to do. There is watersports and loads of bars, including go go bars. If you are looking for a quiet holiday, this might not be the best destination in Phuket.
Rawai Beach
Rawai Beach is a quiet beach on the South Eastern tip of Phuket It is the departure point to surrounding islands. Cape Promthep here is a famous viewpoint to watch the glowing sunsets.
Surin Beach
Surin Beach just North of Kamala has a nice stretch of white sand. During high season it is a good place for snorkeling as the water is very clear.
Tri Trang Beach
Tri Trang is a sandy beach in Patong Bay which is good for sunbathing and snorkeling. There are many rocks in shallow water, which makes it less suitable for swimming.

Ya Nui Beach
Ya Nui Beach is at the Southern tip of Phuket close to Phromthep Cape. It is a small beach ideal for snorkeling. There is little development on this beach.
