Krabi
Krabi is one of the most spectacularly destinations in Thailand. Home to white sandy beaches, coral reefs rich in marine life; the area is the very definition of paradise. Famous destinations such as Koh Phi Phi Island and Koh Lanta are also part of the Krabi province.

Ao Nang
Ao Nang village has the busiest beach in Krabi. Ao Nang Beach is not the nicest beach in the region, but well known for its many hotels, restaurants and bars. If you look towards the sea the left side of the beach is the nicest. From Ao Nang it is possible to make trips to one of the beautiful islands nearby.

If you are heading to Railay peninsula you can take a long tail boat from Ao Nang. Ao Nang has two beaches, Ao Nang Beach and Nopparat Thara Beach. At the far end of Nopparat Thara beach you find some islands that are connected with the mainland by a sandbank.
Railay Peninsula
The Railay Peninsula can only be reached by boat as it is completely surrounded by inaccessible mountains. There are four beaches at Rai Leh. When you take a long tail boat from Ao Nang you will first pass Ton Sai beach. After that you will reach West Rai Leh, a long sandy beach surrounded by limestone mountains.

From Rail eh West it is a short walk to Rai Leh East where the beach is less spectacular as it is partly made up by a mangrove forest. South of Rai Leh East you can walk to Phranang beach one of the best beaches in Thailand and arguably in the world.
Krabi Town
Krabi Town is the capital of the Krabi province. The town has no beaches itself and is mainly a jump of point to other destinations in the region. From Krabi town you can take a ferry to Koh Phi Phi and there is an airport with connections to Bangkok. Kao Kanab Nam are two peaks on the river that rise high above the city, there are some beautiful caves.

4 Islands
Right of the coast near Ao Nang and Rai Leh you will find a group of little islands. There are several tours possible to these islands. The most important ones are the Chicken Island, named after the shape of the lime stone rocks. Tup Island with its 3 islands that are connected by a white sandy beach at low tide. Poda island has pristine white sand ideal for snorkeling.
