Koh Samui Beaches

Koh Samui is the third largest island in Thailand with many beaches, each slightly different.

Bang Po Beach

Bang Po is a quiet long stretched beach with not a lot of development. Here you can still find a place on the beach where you can be alone. The beach is situated on the North Western part of the island.

Big Buddha Beach

Big Buddha Beach or Bangrak is not the most beautiful beach on koh Samui, but it has a lively nightlife and some good restaurants.

Bo Phut Beach

Bo Phut Beach can be found on the northen shore of Koh Samui. on this beach you will find the fisherman village where you can find some of the best seafood on the island.

Choeng Mon Beach

Choeng Mon is situated on the north eastern part of Koh Samui. Close to the airport. There are plenty of nice resorts on this beach but it is not as busy as Chaweng or Lamai.

Chaweng Beach

Chaweng is the most crowded beach on Koh Samui. Around the full moon parties in Koh Phangnan Chaweng is often the place where the party people hang out the days before and after the party. It is easy to reach Koh Phangan from northern Koh Samui.

Lamai Beach

Lamai Beach is the second largest beach on Koh Samui just South of Chaweng. This is an excellent place for sun worshippers. It is not as crowded as Chaweng.

Mae Nam Beach

Mae Nam Beach is a beautiful stretch of beach lined with resorts overlooking Koh Phangan.
