Forever immortalized by the movie the beach with Leonardo di Caprio, the Phi Phi islands have grown into one of the most popular destination for travelers in South East Asia. The islands are situated right between Phuket and Krabi and are easily accessible by ferry from both sides.

There are two main islands Phi Phi Don which is the largest and inhabited island and the smaller brother Phi Phi Ley which has no inhabitants.

Ton Sai Village
Ton Sai Village is the main village on Phi Phi Don. Ton Sai is also the pier where the ferries from Phuket, Krabi and Koh Lanta arrive. Ton Sai village has plenty of guesthouses and restaurants. Also most dive schools are situated in the village.
Laem Tong
Laem Tong is a village on the Northern part of the island. There are a few resorts on a nice long white sanded beach. This is a the less busy part of Phi Phi Don. Andaman Wave Master provides a daily ferry service between Ton Sai and Laem Tong beach. You can also hike towards the Northern beaches. At the center of Laem Thong Beach you will find a Sea Gypsy Village.

Phi Phi Ley
Koh Phi Phi Ley is an uninhabited island where you can find Maya beach, which is the place where the earlier mentioned movie based on the book by Alex Garland was shot. Maya beach is a stunning sight, but be aware that you are not the only person that goes there. There are hundreds of people visiting the beach on day trips.
Bamboo Island
Koh Phai or Bamboo Island is a small island just North of Koh Phi Phi. Is has a few nice beaches. The island is reachable by taxi boat and day trips can be arranged in Ton Sai village.
Bida Nok and Bida Nai
Bida nok and Bida Nai are two limestone rocks South of Phi Phi Ley. The islands are very popular dive sights used by the local dive schools.
