Koh Phangan Transport
The most common form of transport on Koh Phangan is the songthaew, a pick-up truck that functions as a taxi on the Island. When you arrive at the Thongsala pier many songthaew’s await to bring you to your destination.

Most places on Koh Phangan can be reached by songtaew taxi, but there are a few beaches such as Botle Beach in the North that can only be reached by Long Tail boat.
Motorbikes
Can be rented throughout the island from most of the shops and hotels or guesthouses. The price is between 200/300 baht. The most common way is to deposit your passport as a security when you get the motorbike and check for any damage or scratch before taking it.
Taxi /Songtheow/Minibus
The taxi stand is located near the ferry pier in Thongsala. There is also a taxi stand in Hat Rin near the police station. Make sure to agree on a price before you leave.
- Thongsala to Chalok Lam: 150 baht/person
- Thongsala to Hat Rin: 150 baht/person
- Thongsala to Hat Yao or Hat Salad: 150 baht/person
- Thongsala to Mae Hat: 150 baht/person
- Thongsala to Thong Nai Pan or Than Sadet: 250-300 baht/person
- Thongsala to Ban Tai: 100 baht/person
Minibus Taxi
- Hat Rin to Thongsala: 150 baht/person
- Hat Rin to Chalok Lam: 200 baht/person
- Hat Rin to Hat Yao: 200 baht/person
- Hat Rin to Thong Nai Pan: 300 baht/person
Taxi Boat /Longtail
Some beaches such as Bottle Beach and Hat Yuan can only be reached by long tail boat. The prices for a long tail depends on the amount of passangers.

A long tail with two people from Chalok Lom to Bottle Beach for example should cost around 200 per person one way. With more people the price should be 150 per person. Make sure to negotiate the price in advance.
Bicycle
Many guesthouses offer mountain bikes to explore the Island. The normal price for a bicycle should be around 100 baht for a day.
