Koh Phangan
Koh Phangan is an Island in the Gulf of Thailand. It is situated just north of Koh Samui and south of Koh Tao. West of Koh Phangan you can find the Ang Thong Marine National Park. Koh Phangan is famous around the world for the monthly Full moon Party when thousands of dance fans meet at Haad Rin Beach to dance from sun set to sun rise.

Thong Sala
Thong Sala is the harbor where most ferries to Koh Phangan arrive. It is a small town with plenty of shops, a night market and several travel agencies from where you can arrange trips to next destinations.
Hat Rin
Hat Rin on the South Eastern tip of Koh Phangan is the most densely populated area on the Island. On Hat Rin Nok, or Sunrise beach is where the famous Full Moon Party takes place every month.
There are daily ferries run by Haad Rin Queen between Hat Rin and the Buddha pier in Koh Samui. During the full moon party there are extra ferries. From Hat Rin you can take long tail boats to the secluded beaches on the East coast.

Baan Tai
Baan Tai is a village situated on the road from Thong Sala to Hat Rin. This is where the Half Moon parties and the Black Moon party take place every month. During the Full Moon party Baan Tai is a popular place to stay because it is not far from Hat Rin.
Ban Chalok Lam
Ban Chalok Lam is a small fishing village in the North of Koh Phangan. From Chalok Lam beach you can take the long tail boat to beautiful Bottle Beach.
West Coast
When you travel North from Thong Sala town along the coast you will encounter a few nice and good accessible beaches such as Hat Yao and Hat Salat. At the North Western tip you can wade through the sea to Koh Ma (Horse Island) with low tide.

East Coast
The East coast of Koh Phangan is not good accessible, and for that the beaches there are still a lot more quiet and pristine then on other parts of the island. Beaches like Hat Yuan, Than Sadet and Thong Nai Pan attract people that try to escape the busy Full Moon beaches.
