Koh Lanta

Koh Lanta is the most southern Island in the Krabi Province in Thailand. There are a total of 52 Islands, but most people only know the two Islands Koh Lanta Noi and Koh Lanta Yai. Koh Lanta Yai (big) or just Koh Lanta is the bigger of the two Islands and is also the Island with all the beaches and tourism.

There are 9 white sandy beaches on Koh Lanta. They all have their own atmosphere. Khlong Dao Beach is the busiest beach on the Island. It is situated on the Northern part of the Island near Saladan town where most travelers arrive at the port. Koh Lanta has direct ferry connections with Krabi and Koh Phi Phi. The ferry to Koh Phi Phi only runs in the High Season.

According to experts Koh Lanta has some of the best diving in Thailand, there are plenty of dive shops on the Island. The many Islets around the Island are ideal breeding ground for Marine Life.
