Koh Chang Beaches

All beaches except Long Beach are along the West coast of Koh Chang. Except for Long Beach all other beaches have plenty of resorts and restaurants.

Hat Sai Khao or White Sands Beach

Hat Sai Khao or White Sands Beach is thebusiest and longest beach on Koh Chang. It is the first beach you’ll pass coming from the ferry. On the northern part of White Sands Beach you will find a backpacker enclave, only reachable on foot through the beach. You can find very cheap lodging there.

Khlong Phrao and Chai Chet

Khlong Phrao and Chai Chet are the more luxury beaches on the island with big resorts and a shopping plaza. Across the street from here you’ll find the Klong Plu waterfall.

Hat Kai Bae

Hat Kai Bae has a nice mix of hotels and beach huts. You’ll also find many bars and restaurants here. There are a few small islands in front of this beach that can be reached by canoe. Just south of Kai Bae there is a great view point.

Lonely beach and Bailan Bay

Lonely Beach and Bai Lan Bay are 2 less developed beaches with a lot off backpackers.  You can still find cheap places to stay here but it is moving up market fast.

Bang Bao Beach

Bang Bao beach is a nice secluded beach at the far South of Koh Chang, just past Bang Bao village.

Hat Yao or Long Beach

Long Beach is a quite beach on the South Eastern tip of the island.  There is not much development there as it is not easy accessible.
