Koh Chang which in Thai means Elephant island got its name from its shape. The centre of the island is mainly mountainous jungle and a perfect place for people who like lush nature and beaches. There are several intersting waterfalls on the Island such as the one at Khlong Phlu.

On the coast there are beautiful white sandy beaches where you can find the beach huts where you literally just open your door and step on the beach. A nice way to travel around the island is renting a motorcycle. Just tour around the island and enjoy the beautiful views from the different view points along the road.

Bang Bao is a fishing village with a long pier where you can find good fishing restaurants and dive shops. From here you have the connection with islands like Koh Kood and Koh Maak.
A fishing village with homestay accommodation, only reachable if you drive down the east side of the island. On long beach at the end of thye island you will find the Koh Chang battle memorial.
Koh Kut is a nice and quite island where you find absolute rest. There is no nightlife, just a few resorts, palm trees and perfect beaches.

Koh Mak is a small island close to Koh Chang. The island does not have the jungle like Koh Chang has it, but mainly consist of coconut and rubber plantations. Beaches and palm trees are the key words here.
