Inside the moat and the city walls of Chiang Mai you will find the Old City. This is the area with the most important temples of the city.

One of the main temples and must see attractions in Chiang Mai are Wat Chedi Luang which is a huge Chedi that collapsed during an earthquake in 1545. Wat Phra Sing is famous for holding the most sacred Buddha image in Chiang Mai. Wat Chiang Man is the oldest temple inside the city walls.
