Operating hours : 06.00 am – midnight daily.

Being one of Bangkok’s heavy mass rapid transit, the M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line (The MRT System) has become the first metro in Thailand because its initial system section of Hua Lampong to Bang Sue is the first railway system in Thailand that kept on underground level.

You can buy a token from a machine or at the ticket booth. The fair depends on the distance you want to travel. The price lays between 15 and 40 baht.

The MRT has connections with the BTS Skytrain at the Si Lom station, the Sukhumvit station and at the Chatuchak park station. There is also a connection with the Airport Rail Link at the Petchaburi station though the bridge connection to the Airport link is not ready yet, so you have to carry your lugage.
