The BTS Skytrain is a safe, comfortable and convenient way to get around Bangkok. Currently there are two routes, the Sukhumvit Line and the Silom Line. They cover much of the central city and its many commercial, residential and tourist areas, with extensions planned to outlying areas. The trains run daily between 6:00 am and 12:00 midnight with frequent service throughout the day, increased during rush hours.

The fare is based on the distance traveled. The price ranges between 15 and 40 baht depending the distance. There is also the possibility to buy a day ticket that gives you unlimited use of the BTS for one day for 120 baht.

There are three stations where the BTS connects with the MRT. At the Mo Chit, Asok and Sala Daeng stations. You can connect to the Chao Praya Express boat at the Saphan Taksin Station.

There is also a connection with the recently opened Airport Rail link at Phaya Thai station.
