The Riverside is an Area in Bangkok along the Chao Praya River. This area roughly stretches from Asiatique the Riverfront, to the Saphan Phut Memorial Bridge Chao Praya Express Boat station (N6).

 

At the Riverside you can find some of the most luxurious hotels in Bangkok. One of the major attractions of the area is the Lebuan Hotel in the State Tower where you can enjoy stunning views of Bangkok’s skyline from the Sirocco Bar at the sixty-third floor.

The Assumption Cathedral, the main Christian church in Bangkok can be found at the Riverside. At the northern end of the Riverside Area you can find the Pak Khlong flower market.

On the west bank of the river you can find some interesting temples including the Chinese Chee Chin Khor temple with its tall Chinese pagoda. Asiatique the Riverfront is a shopping mall located in old renovated warehouses on the river. At Asiatique you can find the new Calypso Theater that opened in September 2012.
