Bangkok Siam Square
Getting there : BTS Siam, National stadium and Chid Lom stations.
Siam square is the shopping heart of Bangkok. Here you will find the big shopping malls like Siam Paragon, MBK and Central World in the Ratchadamri area. MBK is the oldest mall in Bangkok and it is perfect for finding souvenirs and electronic gadgets. Paragon and Central World are more upscale shopping malls where you can find all the big international brands.

In Paragon there is also a big food court where you can find all sorts of local and international foods. In Siam Paragon you can also find Siam Ocean World and a cinema complex with IMAX theatre. At the end of September 2012 H&M opened its first store in Thailand at the Siam Paragon Mall.
Central World reopened in November 2010 after it was closed for a few months due to a big fire. The second largest shopping mall in Asia is now restored to its former glory with the ZEN shop at its center point.

(There is always something going on at Siam Square, like this travel fair)
In the Siam square area you can also find a few nice cinema’s. All the shopping malls have their own cinema complex, but there are also two independent cinema’s like the Apex Lido and Apex Scala where tickets are always 100 baht. In October 2012 Playhouse Theater opened a new Ladyboy dance show at the Asia Hotel.
There are two intersting Museums near the National stadium BTS station: the Jim Thompson house and the Bangkok Art and Culture Center.
