Ayutthaya Wat Lokayasutharam

Wat Lokayasutharam is located on the Island in Ayutthaya. The main feature at Wat Lokayasutharam in Ayutthaya is the giant reclining Buddha. The monastery that lies behind the Buddha was as so many other temples and complexes completely destroyed by the Burmese in a1767.

The Buddha that is constructed with bricks and is covered by plaster is 29 meters long. Wat Lokayasutharam can be found on the city island in the Ayutthaya Historical Park.
