About 19 kilometers South of Ayutthaya you will find the Royal Summer Palace. It has buildings in European, Chinese and Thai styles.

The Elephant Kraal was used for an annual roundup of Elephants and is situated North of the city outside the island.

The St Josephs church is situated South of the City Island across the Chao Praya river. It is the oldest Catholic church in Thailand.
