Northern Thailand
The North of Thailand is famous for its mountains and the golden triangle. It is the perfect destination if you are looking for a jungle trek or rafting. The old capital off this area is Chiang Mai, it is the second largest city in Thailand. The gateway to the golden triangle, where you can find the mountain tribes of Thailand is Chiang Rai.

Bangkok
The city of Bangkok is the gateway to South East Asia. This vibrant city has something for everybody. From luxury shopping malls to temples. If you have some time to spent in Bangkok it might be worth your while to make a day trip to the old capital of Ayuthaya or the Damnoen Saduak floating market.

Eastern Seaboard
The Eastern seaboard is quite easy to access from Bangkok. First you have the famous beach town of Pattaya. A little further down south the island of Koh Samet where the people from Bangkok retreat for the weekend. Close to the Cambodian border you find the island off Koh Chang, the second largest island in Thailand.
Gulf of Thailand
The Gulf of Thailand is famous for its beach life. On the mainland you will find the beach resort of Hua Hin. In the Gulf itself you will find diver paradise Koh Tao, party island Koh Phangnan and resort island Koh Samui.

Southern Thailand
Phuket is Thailand’s biggest island. It is one of the most popular destinations in South East Asia. There is a lot to do in and around Phuket. If you had enough of the crowded beaches you can go for a trip to the amazing Phang Nga Bay with the James Bond island. Or you can retreat for a few days on Koh Phi Phi.

Koh Phi Phi is part of the Krabi province which is famous for its natural beauty. Expect white sandy beaches and coral reefs with rich marine life on islands like Koh Lanta.
The Deep South
In the most Southern part of Thailand you can find some of the most beautiful Islands in the Trang province, here you can also find the Emerald Cave. The South is less crowded then other parts of Thailand. If you are planning to go to Malaysia by train you will pass through Hat Yai. The most southern Island in Thailand is Koh Lipe; a tropical beach getaway.
