The Gardens by the Bay are located at the Marina Bay Area in Singapore. The gardens officially opened in June 2012; the idea is to create a City in a Garden.

At the Gardens by the Bay you can visit the Flower Dome where you enjoy plants from all over the world that normally grow in a Mediterranean climate. At the Cloud Forest you can enjoy an indoor mountain environment with its vegetation and even the tallest indoor waterfall. For both the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forrest you have to pay entrance. Separate tickets are 12 SGD, but you can also buy a combined ticket for 20 SGD.

Other attractions that can be visited for free are the Supertree Grove which are 18 tree like structures of 25 to 50 meters high that can be found around the gardens. The Heritage Gardens are four themed gardens that will take you through the culture and history of Singapore. There is a daily free light show at the Gardens by the Bay.

 

The Gardens are easy to reach by public transport, just take the MRT to the Bayfront station (CE 1) next to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. From there it is a short walk.
