Singapore can be divided in several areas that all have their own purpose and style.
Central Business District
The Central Business District or CBD is where you can find most office buildings. It is the centre of Singapore’s amazing skyline. At the Boat Quay you can find some nice fish restaurants.
Chinatown
Chinatown is the heart of the Chinese community in Singapore and notable for its distinctive shop houses, temples and markets.

Colonial District
The Colonial District is the area North of the Singapore river and it is the administrational heart of the city with the Padang at its core.
Kampong Glam
Kampong Glam is the focal point of Muslim life in Singapore. This is an area in Singapore where the locals go and spent a pleasant evening. Kampong Glam has good Muslim food; there are plenty Arab and Indonesian restaurants.
Little India
Little India is where the Indian community settled at the end of the nineteenth century. If you are looking for an authentic Indian Curry; this is the place to be.

Marina Bay
The Marina Bay Area can be found in the harbor of Singapore. The Marina Bay Sands Hotel dominates this Area, but there is much more to see and do.
Orchard Road
Orchard Road is the shopping district. The street is packed with shopping malls and department stores, a shoppers heaven. There are also many luxury hotels in this area.
Sentosa
Sentosa is where Singapore goes to enjoy attractions and beach life. It is the favorite weekend retreat. Universal Studios Singapore can be found on Sentosa.
