Jurong is a town in the eastern part of Singapore Island is mainly a residential and industrial area. Several top attractions in Singapore, such as the Jurong Bird Park, Jurong Reptile Park and the Singapore Science center are located in Jurong.

Jurong Lake is a fresh water lake where people from Jurong come together and relax during the weekend, it is not allowed to swim in the lake. At the Jurong Lake you can also find the Chinese Garden and the Japanese Garden.

 

Jurong can be easily reached from the city center of Singapore by MRT. Off the coast of Jurong you will find Jurong Island; a manmade island which is one of the main industrial areas in Singapore.
