In Bagan, Myanmar the most popular and memorable way of exploring the temples is by horse cart. Also going around by bicycle is great, cheap and easy.

For longer distances or a more comfortable way of transport especially in hot season taxis or private cars and drivers can be hired easily at hotels or guesthouses. Pick-ups run between Nyaung U and New Bagan.

 

Trishaws are available and recommended for short distances for example within the town of Nyaung U. For a different view of the temples along the Ayeyarwady River take a boat trip.
