Fraser Hill

 

Fraser Hill is perhaps the prettiest hill resort in Malaysia. It nestles at 1524 meters above the sea level in the state of Pahang. Fraser's Hill is located 105 km North of Kuala Lumpur, around 2 hours by car. This charming little resort with a Population of approximately 1000 residents is a popular holiday destination for people from the city.

The style of the houses is very English. Some houses have been converted into holiday bungalows. They enable visitors to enjoy a country style holyday in a cool, refreshing ambience where evening bring on swirling mists descending upon the little village and cold winds howling through lofty pine trees. It is best suited for quiet relaxation and gentle pursuits that are largely nature based.

 

One of the most popular activities in Fraser's Hill is bird watching with over with over 270 species of local and migratory birds coming together here, and each year in June is held the International Bird Race.

 

The hillside is not only popular for the bird watching but as well for hikers. There are eight nature walk trails available ranging from easy to hard, and the jungle treks offers rewarding views.
