Temples outside the Angkor Archaeological Park
Siem Reap is also the best base to explore the remote temples that are located outside the Angkor Archaeological Park. Beng Melea, Koh Ker, Banteay Chhmar as well as Phnom Kulen can be reached within in a half-day or day trip from Siem Reap. For a visit of Preah Khan of Kampong Svay better plan two days from Siem Reap. Those temples are not included in the temple pass and admission fee has to be paid separate.
