Koh Rong Island

Koh Rong or Koh Rung is the main island of the Koh Rong Archipelago located about 25 km off the mainland from Sihanoukville; with 78 square kilometres Koh Rong is also Cambodia’s second largest island.

Koh Rong is with its white beaches, pristine and clear waters as well as dense jungle and waterfalls one of the most beautiful islands in the Gulf of Thailand.

Koh Rong was nearly completely undeveloped until the last years and is still sparsely populated with only four small villages. There are more than twenty beaches on the island most of them still deserted and untouched.

Koh Rong Island has been sold to an investment group that is planning to open an airport, golf courses, resorts and casino on the island but so far this development has not really started yet and the temporarily built bungalows on the island are still safe.

Koh Tuit Village and Koh Tui Beach

Koh Tuit Village and Koh Tui Beach is located on the southeast part of Koh Rong Island. Most of the accommodation and restaurants have been built along Koh Tui Beach.

Soksan Village and Sok San Beach

Soksan Village and Sok San Beach, a gorgeous 7 km long deserted white sandy beach south of the village is located on the southwest of Koh Rong Island.

Long Set Beach

Long Set Beach is a beautiful white sandy 3km long beach in the southeast part of Koh Rong.

Koh Ouen and Koh Bong

Koh Ouen and Koh Bong are two small adjacent islands just off the northeastern coast of Koh Rong Island and home to the luxury resort Song Saa Private Island.

Prek Svay Village

Prek Svay Village and its surrounding beaches is located in the northeast of the island just opposite of Song Saa Island.

Songkat Village

Songkat Village is located in the east of Koh Rong.
