Koh Kong City
The city of Koh Kong in Koh Kong Province, Cambodia with the nearby Cardamom Mountains is becoming a respectable ecotourism destination.
With an increasing number of accommodation as well as restaurants the city of Koh Kong is a good base for excursions to the nearby mangrove forests, to impressive waterfalls, for jungle treks and boat trips on the river or to Koh Kong Island.

There are couples of beaches on the opposite side of the river such as Beach 2000, Koh Yor or the beach infront of the Koh Kong Resort Hotel. The Island of Koh Khoa offers several unspoiled and untouristed white sand beaches only a 45 minutes boat ride from Koh Kong town.
The border crossing to Thailand is just a few kilometers out of town.
