By Boat

There is one daily boat connection between Siem Reap and Battambang. In Battambang the boats arrive and depart at the ‘Siem Reap Ferry Dock, which is located at the Sangker River north of National Route No.5 near the Provincial Hospital.

By Bus

There is no central bus station in Battambang. Several private bus companies offer their services one or two times daily amongst other destinations between Battambang and Siem Reap, Battambang and Phnom Penh or between Battambang and Pailin. The tickets can be bought directly at the bus company. Also the busses arrive and depart from there.

By Taxi

The Taxi stand is located in the west of Battambang, at the National Road No 5 about 1 km west of Sangker River. Here you will find local shared taxis for example to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap but keep in mind that in Cambodia it is normal that 2 person share the front seat next to the driver and 4 person share the back seat. In case you prefer more space you have to buy 2 tickets.

It is much more convenient but also more expensive to charter a taxi just for yourself.

By Train

The train station is located in the town center but there are no more train services between Battambang and Phnom Penh. Apart from the bamboo train….
